Four sheets make up this map of the United States and provide an excellent view, particularly of the American West with large western territories; Missouri, Minnesota, Indian, Oregon, Utah, New Mexico and California. The boundary with British Columbia is correct and the boundary with Mexico falls along the Gila River. A key shows the states and territories, with populations (1840), number of counties and size. Published by Carl Flemming.
