Compiled by Hitchcock and W.P. Blake, accompanying the report of R.W. Raymond, U.S. Commissioner of Mining Statistics. Chromolithograph printed in nine colors with a table providing an explanatory key to the colors. The carefully drawn map shows considerable geographical detail as well as geological information. A legend shows identifying marks for railroads, military and wagon roads, canals, army arsenals and forts, etc.

Condition: A

Backed with Japanese tissue to repair splits, a little toning along some folds. Still a very good example of this large and colorful map.
