The Atlantic with its currents and groups of Islands. A good portion of land is shown and outlined in color: Europe and the British isles, Western Africa, North- and South America and the Caribbean. Two large areas within the mid-Atlantic, one called Sea Weed and the other Sargasso Sea. Constant depth curves for 1000, 2000, 3000 fathoms.

A nice example with crisp engraved lines and lovely pastel hand coloring. Close (1/8") margin at top, as issued. Engraved by Lowry.
