This is one of the most impressive and beautiful renditions of this subject. The engraving, by the famous firm of W. & D. Lizars, is presented in a landscape composition and depicts the mountains, volcanoes, plateaus and sea shores of the world. The view is placed in an engraved picture frame border, with surrounding text that describes the various regions, and surrounded by another border.
