"Dixon's Mickey Mouse Map of the United States",

This small pictorial map features Disney characters in little vignettes representative of each state including Mickey Mouse mining in Nevada, Goofy cutting hay in North Dakota, and Donald Duck rushing to fix an oil gusher in Oklahoma. Names and locates state capitals with a summary table at bottom. Hornsby notes that as early as the 1930's, Walt Disney "recognized the importance of pictorial maps in advertising his cartoon characters."
