This county map of Gloucestershire is divided into Hundreds and displays interesting detail including the locations of cities, rivers, bridges, forests and parks. Two large insets show bird's-eye plans of Gloucester and Bristow with brief descriptions of each. At left are vignettes of the Battles of Assandun and the Battle of Tewkesbury. The Royal coat of arms is at top right adjacent to the crests of local Dukes and Earles. English text on verso. Sold by John Sudbury and George Humble and published between 1614-23.

Condition: B+

A dark impression on a bright sheet that has been professionally deacidified. There is some printer's ink residue and professional repairs to short centerfold separations at top and bottom and a tiny chip at right, with a minute amount of the image replaced in facsimile. Professionally remargined on all sides to accommodate framing.
