A beautifully engraved and embellished example of Speed's work. Two large insets are plans of Buckingham and Reading. Decorated with three cartouches, two large architectural cartouches with coats of arms, cherubs, flags, etc., an elaborate distance scale, and fine compass rose. Related English text on verso. Imprint of Roger Rea, published circa 1650-65.

Condition: B

A crisp impression on a bright sheet with archival repairs to short centerfold separations at top and bottom and to a few short edge tears. The left margin is very narrow and there is a chip in the right margin that extends into the border.
