Highly decorative map of Morocco oriented with north to the right and including the Strait of Gibraltar. It is based on the cartography of Abraham Ortelius, who is credited in the cartouche. The Atlantic is filled with five sailing ships, including two engaged in battle. Two dancing satyrs brandishing their javelins flank the large title cartouche. French text on verso, published between 1639-49.

Condition: B+

A dark impression with full contemporary color on a lightly toned sheet with some printer's ink residue. There are a few small spots of foxing, mostly confined to the blank margins, and a short centerfold separation at bottom that has been closed on verso with archival tape.
