This charming small map is similar to Jodocus Hondius Sr.'s Atlas Minor map first published in 1607. North is oriented to the right with a superb compass rose, and the map is further adorned with a strapwork title cartouche. The map was published in Beschrift der Nederlanden by Luigi Guicciardini, published by Jansson, as well as in Jean de Parival's De Vermaecklyckheden van Hollandt. Both books are very rare. Given that this example has a blank verso, it was likely published in Jean de Parival's work.
