This stunning chart covers a stretch of coastline in central Norway. It is roughly centered on the city of Trondheim (Dronten). Numerous soundings, anchorages, hazards, and rocks are indicated within the Norwegian Sea, and the flow of the currents is indicated with arrows. There is a good bit of topographical detail and plenty of place names along the coasts. Rhumb lines, two compass roses, a sailing ship, and a sea monster decorate the sea. North is oriented to the bottom of the sheet. At bottom right there is a distance scale cartouche featuring a river god and a figure playing a harp atop a sea beast. The decorative title cartouche at left features a female figure with an ax and wildlife.
