Here is Van der Aa's pair of finely engraved maps of European Russia on one sheet, with each map surrounded by an elaborate picture-frame style border, which was printed from a separate plate. There is nice detail throughout the maps of the topography, towns, and river systems. The maps are embellished with figural title cartouches featuring typically Russian scenes of hunting and trading.
