Volume I includes 21 steel engravings and hundreds more black & white illustrations. Volume II expands on the first volume's tour of Great Britain with additional sections on Cambridge, South Wales, the Isle of Wight, and more, while also venturing across the continent with chapters on Normandy and Brittany, the Alps, the Rhine, Venice, the Pyrenees, Rome, Spain, old German towns, and much more. It features 22 beautiful steel engravings. Volume III includes 20 steel engravings and showcases Norway, Spain, France, Italy, Sweden, the Black Forest, Russia, and more. These matching volumes are in half leather with brown pebbled cloth and gilt titles on covers. All edges gilt (A.E.G.). Volume I - 488 pp.; Volume II - 460 pp.; Volume III - 491 pp.
