This star chart depicts the stars in the southern sky, centered on the south equatorial pole. The constellations include Argo Navis, Centaur, Lupus, Apus (bird of paradise), Apis (bee), Indus (Native Indian), and Pavo (peacock). The magnitude of the stars is identified in a chart at left.
