Large map showing the extent of the German Empire stretching from The Netherlands to Poland and from the Baltic Sea to the Gulf of Venice. The map is filled with good detail considering its scale and shows the various political divisions. The drape-style title cartouche is held aloft by two black eagles to symbolize the German Empire. Engraved by Louis Cordier. Not in Pastoureau.
Original outline color with later color in the cartouche. There is minor offsetting, a small spot adjacent to Paris, and a printer's crease at bottom right.
