This rare map depicts the path of the solar eclipse that traveled across Europe on May 12, 1706. The central path of the eclipse is marked with a dotted line adjacent to the arrow at bottom left, running through Spain, France, Germany, Poland, and beyond. The diagram at left illustrates the science behind the eclipse.

Condition: A

Full original color with marginal soiling. One small hole in Sweden and one chip in bottom blank margin have both been professionally repaired.
