This attractive map of the region includes Groningen, Emden and Winschoten. A small inset at top right depicts the several islands and shoals surrounding the entrance to Dollart Bay. Decorated by two compasses roses, distance scales and key, and elaborate title cartouche featuring Groningen's coat of arms and several boys hoisting wheels of cheese.

Original color that has been partially refreshed with light toning. A number of cracks in the image due to the oxidation of green pigment have been professionally repaired on verso.
