Fine early map of Fyn and the surrounding islands with great detail of the cities and even tiny villages. The sea is stipple engraved and the map is embellished with a strapwork title cartouche and Mercator's characteristic calligraphy. Latin text on verso.

Condition: B+

A nice impression with attractive color, light toning, and damp stains confined to the bottom blank margin. There is one short tear in bottom blank margin.
