This detailed map of the South Pacific focuses on the numerous islands, with the surrounding continents drawn in outline without inland detail. The islands are divided into three regions: Oriental Archipelago, Polynesia, and Austral Asia. Drawn by D. H. Vance and engraved by James Young for Joseph Hart's A Modern Atlas.
