First state of this nice copper engraved map of St. Lawrence Bay with Anticosti Island, Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton Island, Newfoundland and the adjacent mainland. The map is adorned with a decorative rococo-style cartouche. At bottom left: "Tom. XIII" and at lower right "No. 2".

Condition: B+

Issued folding, now pressed on watermarked paper with a few unobtrusive, small spots. A binding trim at bottom right has been repaired with old paper, and an adjacent 3" binding tear has been archivally repaired.
