This unusual thematic map shows the wind and ocean current systems in North America. Two notes in northern Canada indicate the discoveries of Mackenzie and Hearne, and a note that stretches from Canada through the U.S. indicates "plains, or massive expanses of meadows like in Tartary." In Central America, Honduras is named Mosquitos.

Issued folding with faint offsetting and a minute hole in blank area of map image only visible when held to light.
