From the enlarged version of Mercator's famous small format atlas. This map covers all of northern Asia from Moscow to the Anian Fretum and a bit of what is today Alaska. Korea is shown as an island. The Great Wall separates Tartary from China. Novaya Zemlya is connected to the mainland by a long narrow isthmus.
