Lovely pair of sequential leaves written in Arabic text by the scribe Abu Bakr Jami in Isfahan. Each leaf is beautifully illuminated with burnish gold leaf. The highly polished paper is characteristic of that used for sacred texts. It was made by a separate guild and is sized with albumen and polished with an agate polisher.
