North is on the left of this early map of the kingdoms that made up Burma at the end of the sixteenth century. The map is focused on the major rivers and the coastal cities making up the powerful seagoing kingdom of Arakan. This is from the very rare first edition of Langenes miniature atlas. Dutch text on verso.
