This spectacular map is centered on Amsterdam and show the region around the Waddenzee. Filled with place names and great detail on the fractured land and waterways in this portion of Holland. Decorated with a large strapwork title cartouche, scale of miles with a divider, fancy 16-point compass rose, and the Royal coat of arms. The seas are fully engraved and decorated with sailing ships and a small fishing boat. On the verso is Latin text and page number 23 dating the map to either the 1574 or 1575 edition.

Condition: B+

The map images is fine with strong early impression and full margins with a large arrow-style watermark. The margins are soiled, with a few margins tears and a small chip at top edge.
