This small map of the South is based largely on the earlier maps of Sanson and Duval. It provides good detail from the Mississippi Valley to Florida, retaining the spurious May Lake and an incorrect location and course of the Mississippi River. Florida is Tegesta. St. Augustine and St. Mathieu are named along the eastern coast of Florida. A drape style title cartouche adorns the map. French text on verso.

References: Cumming (SE) #95.

Condition: B+

One light smudge in map at lower right and some soiling in margins. Dark impression and later color.
