Charming miniature map based on the cartography of Bishop Gudbrandur Thorláksson. The island is depicted with its vast mountains, glaciers and fiords and includes several settlements, many places of interest and a dramatic depiction of the volcano erupting on Hekla. A small coastline of the mythical island of Frisland is shown at lower left. French text on verso.
