7.5 x 10 inches
19.1 x 25.4 cm
Complete atlas with 56 nicely detailed and attractively colored maps of the American states and territories, Canadian provinces, and the continents of the world. The maps of the individual states are accompanied by descriptive text providing information on population, topography, climate and history. The double-page maps are tipped-in in the manner of earlier atlases. The atlas also features eight pages of agriculture statistics ranking the various states' production of Indian corn, wheat, cotton, hay, oats, potatoes, tobacco and buckwheat. 8vo. 136 pages. Hardbound in original paper covered boards with decorative printed title on front, and a black cloth spine. This edition was published for the Oswego Weekly Palladium, Oswego, N.Y.
The maps and text pages are very good with just a few showing light toning or an occasional spot. One signature has separated from the binding, but would be easy to repair. The covers are soiled and shelf worn with some loss of paper at edges.
