This polar map shows the tracks of the Antarctic explorers Halley, de St. Alouarn, and Bouvet. The southern coast of Australia does not yet show the information from Cook's 1771 exploration. The continent is shown with Diemen's Land located on both the northern and southern coasts of Australia. The map extends to include the southern tip of Africa and most of South America.
Original color on a strong sheet with some faint irregular toning. The wide original margins have a few spots, not affecting the map.
