Scarce, detailed chart of the islands showing the track of Captain Cook's first voyage. The map is finely engraved with detail and includes four insets showing the Coromandel Peninsula (here called Mercure Bay and the Tamise River), Cook Strait, Bay of Islands and Tolaga Bay. Engraved by Andre.

Good impression with later color on a strong sheet with just a couple of spots of foxing. The generous margins are slightly chipped at the top, well away from the map.
