Striking double hemisphere celestial chart showing the northern and southern sky with constellations in allegorical form derived from Hevelius. The six diagrams along the top and bottom represent the monthly orbit and illumination of the moon, the annual orbit of the earth around the sun, and the planetary hypothesis of Tycho Brahe, Ptolemy, and Copernicus.

Dark impression with tasteful old color. A few spots of light foxing, some professional repairs of the centerfold and a small tear in the lower portion of the map.
