This charming and very detailed map has numerous place names, rivers, mountains and forests. It also shows the "Maelstroom", a notorious current, in a swirling pattern off the Norwegian coast. A small compass rose is placed in the center of the "Mer Baltique," and a beautiful, decorative title cartouche is located in the bottom right of the image.

Original outline color. Several small holes and splits have been repaired on verso. Evidence of mat burn in blank margin.
