This uncommon, decorative double hemispheric world map features ten panels of engraved scenes at the sides and bottom. The map shows limited detail with only major features noted. The map is surrounded by vignettes of the bounty of the countryside including rabbits, fruit and nuts, an eagle, and some military weapons. The panels shows ship battles, and a land battle with Napoleon on horseback, plus idyllic scenes of the countryside, including a fox hunt. Above the map is the large title panel with fancy scroll work to tart it up a bit further. All is surrounded by a decorative scroll and vine border. This map is scarce if not rare with no information available on Henry. We could find only one dealer's catalog listing in 1988.
