Fascinating thematic map with two world maps showing the division and distribution of "Rodentia (Gnawing Animals)" and "Rumanantia (Ruminating Animals)." The maps are flanked with eight attractive scenes along the sides depicting various animals from different countries. There is also an interesting comparative chart showing the "Perpendicular Distribution" of the same animals at different elevations in the world. This chart is from the English version of Heinrich Berghaus' Physikalischer Atlas, which resulted in the first truly comprehensive thematic atlas.
