A handsome and well engraved copper plate map of the Americas that also includes a good bit of Western Europe and Africa. An unusual northwest coast of America that includes Straet van Martin d'Aguilar providing a Northwest Passage via the Great Lakes. The Pacific Northwest is virtually blank with a notation concerning the Russian explorations in 1743. The European colonies are shown by dotted lines. Simple title cartouche and nice compass rose. A lovely copy in black and white, as issued.
