Finely engraved eighteenth century copper plate map of the Americas with considerable detail throughout. There is no coastline above the peninsula of California. The very large title cartouche includes two erupting volcanoes, Native Americans, birds and what appears to be a pot of gold.

Condition: B

Nice impression and adequate margins. Some small spots at lower right are either foxing or mold. Some uneven toning at upper right and off-shore from California.
