Complete with 147 maps and plans on 69 plates, together with statistical tables, a list of post offices of the United States and Territories, and the census of 1880. This edition contains a number of maps and city plans not found in earlier editions, including separate maps for Colorado, Indian Territory, Dakota Territory, Detroit and a Railroad Map of the United States. Also includes a double-page map of Texas and double-page city maps of Boston, Philadelphia, and New York. Some, but not all, maps are printed on both sides. Hardbound in embossed brown cloth with gilt titling, quarter calf spine and tips. Contents: Title page, list of maps, maps and plans, Reference Table containing the Post Offices in the United States and Territories. Published by William M. Bradley & Bro. who took over the publication in 1880. A very nice example of this atlas.
All maps fine to very good, less England and Wales that has two long tears with masking tape on verso. Front cover is starting to separate. Spine and tips rubbed with typical abrasion to leather.
