A superb chart of the river from Bristol to the coast. The large title cartouche is flanked by a river god and goddess and features a large sailing ship passing through the narrow Clifton Gorge. Numerous ships are shown in the Severn Estuary where a compass rose oriented the chart with north in the bottom right corner. Second state with the dedication cartouche to Robert Yate, Mayor of Bristol.

Condition: A

Printed on two joined sheets, with vertical folds, as issued. Folds professionally reinforced. A couple of extraneous creases with minor surface soil, still overall very good.
