19.8 x 15.2 inches
50.3 x 38.6 cm
Highly decorative map of Morocco oriented with north on the right and including the Strait of Gibraltar. Based on the cartography of Abraham Ortelius who is credited in the cartouche. The Atlantic is filled with five sailing ships, including two engaged in battle. Two dancing satyrs with their javelins flank the large title cartouche. Dutch text on verso.
Overall very good with original color. Old, sound repair of a tiny crack at bottom centerfold and a couple of very tiny wormholes that are only visible when held to a strong light.
