This is a Ptolemaic map covers eastern Libya and Egypt in considerable detail with the characteristic rope-like mountains and exaggerated rivers. The map is a slightly reduced version of Waldseemuller's similar map of 1513. Latin text and woodcut illustrations on verso.

Condition: B

Binding holes along centerfold and edge tears repaired with tissue. Light impression in bottom border as is common for this issue.
