This fascinating engraving is one of the most interesting cartographic curiosities providing historical information in tabular form. This, the second plate in the series of four, shows a warrior king with flowing robes and his regal and martial trophies. This breastplate, shirt and legs are covered with text listing European kings from the 1st to the 17th century. To the left are twelve large armorials with Germany at top.
