Detailed map on a folio sheet with English text at sides and bottom describing the country in great detail. Features include mountains and watershed, towns and villages and a well developed road system. Includes an interesting Curiosities section that mentions the gift some Scots reportedly had concerning "Second Sight, a faculty, or gift, once supposed to reside among the Highlanders…" Inset of Shetland Isles. On a full folio sheet measuring 21.7 x 17.4".
Very nice impression and original coloring. Short centerfold splits at top and bottom as often seen in this atlas. A little toning along centerfold and two short tears just to neatline, else very good.
