Handsome, large-scale sea chart of the region just west of Rio de Janeiro. Complete with soundings, anchorages, and navigational hazards. At bottom is a view of Ilha Grande and Eastern Passage. The chart was first drawn by Capt. Mouchez of the French Imperial Navy in 1868-69 and published by the British Admiralty in 1870. This is chart is updated to 1884.
