Handsome map of the Western Hemisphere showing California as an island and no Great Lakes. Fries discoveries are noted in the waters north of Japan, and Tasman's discoveries are shown in New Zealand. Drape style title cartouche held by a cherub. Cluver published a similar map in 1661 and John Senex engraved this version.
