Two maps providing an interesting comparison of the continent. First (7.5 x 6.2") is filled in spurious information particularly in the south. It is from an Italian edition of Claude Buffier's Geographie Universelle, published in Venice, 1790. Second (7.5 x 7.5") is N.G. van Kampen's map of the continent showing only those regions and rivers that had been explored at the time of issue, 1825.
