Striking map of the Persian Empire, which includes present-day Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Two large pictorial cartouches graphically depicting the cultural attainments of the empire. The map is filled with detail of towns, mountains, forests, caravan routes, and a village scene engraved in the Turkistan region.
