Two lovely copper engraved maps, one on each side of the sheet. Both fully engraved with good detail, mountains in the Ptolemaic style, stipple engraved seas and many place names. Asiae I shows all of Turkey including part of the Black Sea, and extending to show parts of Crete, Cyprus and Syria. Africae IIII shows the continent to well below the equator and shows the Nile originating from two lakes in the Mountains of the Moon. On a full sheet with Italian text both sides.
