Attractive Ptolemaic map covering eastern Europe from the Baltic through the Black Sea known in ancient times as Sarmatia and Tauricam Chersonese. The map is decorated with a strapwork title cartouche and a tent encampment. From the edition compiled by Bertius and published by Jodocus Hondius.


Condition: B

Nice impression with later color. Old repair on fold separation in bottom margin. Couple of tiny wormholes in map.
