Each corner is richly engraved with allegorical scenes of four Jesuit saints: St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuit order; Father Joseph Anchieta, Apostle of Brazil; Andreas Oviedus, Patriarch of Ethiopia; and St. Francis Xavier, Apostle of India.
