This is the Ottens edition of Jaillot's fine map of the British Isles. The large, ornate title cartouche is embellished with putti, Neptune, Mercury, and other allegorical figures. A large inset at top left details the Shetland, Faroe, and Orkney islands. Three distance scales appear at bottom left in a decorative cartouche featuring merfolk. An alternative Latin title runs above the neatline at top: Magnae Britanniae Tabula, Comprehendens Angliae, Scotiae, ac Hiberniae Regna... This is the third state with no date and the Ottens imprint.

Condition: B+

Issued folding with professional repairs to a number of separations along the folds. There is light soiling that is largely confined to the blank margins and a printer's crease near the centerfold at top.
