This handsome map depicts the theater of war in northern Italy during the War of Spanish Succession. The map extends from Turin in the west to Venice in the east, and as far south as Florence. Several cities are shown as miniature fortified plans, including Milan, Pavia, Finale Ligure, Trento, and Verona. The decorative title cartouche features various symbols of war.
